Experience
One of the most important qualities a tutor can have is patience. It is an important quality to support both the long hours a tutor needs to invest in guiding students toward subject mastery and the listening skills needed to adjust to teaching individual students. Because each student is unique and faces unique hurdles as he or she moves through the stages of learning, I try to emphasize patience for them as well. I do that by teaching them to first understand the problem they are having and then how to strategically unravel it.I currently hold a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University and am working on a Computer Science degree as well, so I can bring my approach of patience and strategy to a large number of subjects. I tutor Math, Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Differential Equations, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Grammar, History, Social Studies, and English. When I am not studying for my Computer Science degree or helping a student to reach their academic goals, then I am most likely enjoying one of my many hobbies or spending time with my fiance. I enjoy reading, watching movies, and cheering on the Yankees!
